How to License DoubleVision

In order to convert your 30-day license to a permanent license, three numbers must be obtained:

The TLA number acts like a serial number for the product and is typically purchased from your reseller, distributor, or Tridia. The Install Code is generated by your computer and is specific to that computer. You must start your free 30 day license in order to generate your installation code. The Activation Key is required to complete the licensing process. You may obtain your Activation Key from our website.

Obtain Your Activation Key(s)

These instructions are for NEW installations. If you are upgrading from a previous DoubleVision version, click here for upgrade instructions.

You will need your Activation Key(s) to permanently license DoubleVision.

  1. Obtain a TLA (Tridia License Authorization) number from your DoubleVision reseller or Tridia.
  2. Obtain the DoubleVision install code from the Tridia License System by selecting Utilities --> License Manager --> Option 1: Check License Status.
  3. Obtain your Activation Key(s) by selecting "Activate Your Software Here."

Tridia will validate your TLA number and install code(s) and use them to generate your new activation key(s). Your activation key(s) will be returned to you in the same manner your request was received.
Activate Your DoubleVision License

To activate your permanent license:

  1. Select Utilities --> License Manager.
This opens the Tridia License System.

  1. Install the new DoubleVision Release 3.x software.
NOTE You will need your installation code in order to obtain your Activation Key. Your installation code is generated by starting your 30 Day Free Evaluation period. If you did not start your 30 Day Evaluation License during installation, please do so when you are ready to permanently license your product. See Starting 30 Day Evaluation Later for further information.
  1. Obtain your new TLA (Tridia License Authorization) and Activation Key by selecting Upgrade MLA License to TLA License under "Activate Your Software Here."

Upgrading within Release 3.0 (3.00.00 to 3.01.00)

When you install your upgrade, DoubleVision will detect if an upgraded TLA is required. If an upgraded TLA is required, you are given the option to start your 30 day free evaluation period while you acquire your new TLA.

  1. Install the new DoubleVision software.
  2. Obtain a TLA (Tridia License Activation) number from your DoubleVision reseller or Tridia.
  3. Run DoubleVision and select Utilities --> License Manager.

Updates

An update is the software required to bring your version of DoubleVision up-to-date within the same release number (e.g. 3.00.01 to 3.00.02). DoubleVision automatically senses that you are updating your software during installation and preserves your previous licensing information. Once installed, the new version of DoubleVision is ready to go with no further action needed!

Install an update by following the standard installation instructions.
